How I spent my summer vacation

Halifax 28

I have a great excuse for not posting in quite some time. I’ve been on the road (and in the air, and on a boat) for the last two weeks. It was a great vacation, though it is nice to be home and not living out of a suitcase.

The trip took us from Boston to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Portland, Maine, with many stops and digressions along the way. I have many, many photos to sort through. As I work my way through them, I’ll post some of my favorites.

First up, the lovely city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. This was one of my favorite places on our trip. Beautiful city, friendly people, and the weather was incredible. I did hear, however, that the winters are not as Californian-friendly.

It was also the place where inspiration struck, in the form of a tattoo on a bartender’s arm. But that’s a story for another time.
